Project Summary

Mobilogica has worked with QIC to design, deploy and operate wireless and network infrastructure across several major retail environments. These deployments support a combination of visitor WiFi services, tenant connectivity, corporate infrastructure and advanced analytics platforms used to understand visitor behaviour across large retail precincts.

One of the key environments Mobilogica has supported is Robina Town Centre, where network infrastructure was designed to provide reliable wireless connectivity across the shopping centre while also supporting internet services delivered directly to retail tenants. The platform integrates guest WiFi, tenant connectivity and operational infrastructure into a unified network environment capable of supporting large visitor volumes.

Mobilogica has also designed, deployed and managed wireless infrastructure across several other QIC-managed retail environments including Eastland Shopping Centre, Grand Central Shopping Centre and Logan Hyperdome. Each environment required detailed wireless design to support complex indoor spaces, high visitor density and reliable connectivity throughout the precinct.

In addition to providing connectivity, Mobilogica implemented advanced network analytics platforms capable of providing insight into how visitors interact with the retail environment. These systems allow centre operators to analyse metrics such as visitor dwell time, client density heatmaps and movement patterns across mapped retail environments, helping operators better understand visitor behaviour within the precinct.

Mobilogica continues to support these environments through ongoing engineering involvement, monitoring and optimisation to ensure the infrastructure remains reliable and capable of supporting both connectivity and analytics services as the centres evolve.

Deliverables

Retail Precinct WiFi Infrastructure

Large shopping centres require wireless infrastructure capable of supporting high visitor density across extensive indoor environments. Mobilogica designed and deployed wireless networks across multiple QIC retail precincts, ensuring reliable connectivity for visitors throughout each centre while maintaining stable performance during peak trading periods.

Tenant Internet Services

At Robina Town Centre, Mobilogica implemented infrastructure capable of delivering internet services directly to retail tenants operating within the precinct. This required designing network architecture capable of supporting multiple tenant services while maintaining appropriate segmentation and operational reliability.

Corporate and Operational Connectivity

Retail precincts require network infrastructure to support operational systems used by centre management and facility services. Mobilogica integrated corporate connectivity alongside guest and tenant services, allowing operational infrastructure to operate securely within the same environment.

Visitor Analytics and Behaviour Insight

Mobilogica implemented analytics platforms capable of analysing visitor connectivity data across the retail precincts. These systems provide reporting on metrics such as WiFi client dwell time, visitor density heatmaps and movement tracking across mapped retail environments. This allows centre operators to gain valuable insight into visitor behaviour, identify high-traffic areas and better understand how customers interact with the space.

High-Density Indoor Wireless Design

Large retail environments present unique wireless challenges due to multi-level layouts, dense construction materials and fluctuating visitor volumes. Mobilogica engineered wireless infrastructure capable of delivering consistent coverage and reliable performance across complex indoor spaces.
